Egoismus

Egoismus (z lat. ego, já) je moderní označení pro sobectví, obvykle ale s méně pejorativním významem. Znamená (přílišné) sledování vlastního prospěchu a zájmu, případně i na úkor druhých. Takový člověk se nazývá egoista, sobec. Opakem egoismu je altruismus.
