Charybda (řecky Χάρυβδις, latinsky Charybdis) je v řeckých bájích mořská obluda, zosobňující nebezpečné víry v Messinské úžině u Sicílie. Doplňují se s obludou z protějšího břehu, Skyllou. Nejstarší báje uvádějí, že je božskou bytostí, její původ však asi není znám.
