Chaparral je označení pro typ suchomilné křovinné vegetace, která se vyskytuje v centrální a jižní Kalifornii a severozápadním Mexiku (Baja California). Výraz pochází ze španělského slova chaparro, které značí houštinu nízkých křovitých dubů.
