Borneol je bicyklická organická sloučenina, terpenoid. Hydroxylová skupina v této sloučenině je umístěna v endo poloze. Protože je chirální, borneol existuje ve dvou enantiomerech. Oba dva, tj. (+)-borneol (starší název d-borneol) a (−)-borneol (l-borneol) nalezneme i v přírodě.
