Astrocyty či astroglie jsou buňky patřící do skupiny neuroglie. Jsou to rozvětvené hvězdicovité podpůrné buňky s dlouhými výběžky. Jedním výběžkem obvykle přiléhají na stěnu kapiláry a druhým se dotýkají povrchu neuronu. Tím zajišťují jeho výživu.
