Amenorea je absence menstruace u žen, které dosáhly reprodukčního věku. Fyziologické stavy amenorey se nejčastěji vyskytují během těhotenství a kojení. Jako amenorea se nazývá stav, když žena nebo dívka, která dosáhla reprodukčního věku a neužívá antikoncepci, nemenstruuje.
