Absolutismus

Absolutismus (z lat. absolutus – úplný, osvobozený, neomezený; absolvere – osvobodit, uvolnit, dokončit, ale také splatit) je historiografický termín označující formu vlády tradičně charakterizovanou ústředním postavením panovníka, hospodářským a politickým centralismem, důležitostí armády a správního aparátu, existencí dvora a státní církve.
